Apple Butter


8 lbs apples

1 C water

4 C brown sugar

4 tbsp cinnamon


Slice apples (including skins) and place in crock pot with 1 C water. Turn to low and cook for 12 hours. Mix with immersion blender until smooth, add sugar and cinnamon and mix again. Tilt lid on crock pot slightly so moisture can escape, and turn to low for another 12 hours. Can with 1/4 in head space in pint jars and water bath for 10 min.
